Cookie Policy

The EU Cookie Law was approved in Italy by Legislative Decree 69/2012 and 70/2012. In May 2014, the Italian Data Protection Authority intervened with a provision for the Identification of simplified procedures for the information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies – 8 May 2014 (Published in the Official Gazette no. 126 of 3 June 2014), to which websites like this one must adhere.
This Cookie Policy is intended to provide the user with information relating to cookies, their use, and how to refuse or delete them if desired, bearing in mind, however, that disabling cookies may cause some features of the site not to function correctly as intended.

What are cookies and what are they for?

Cookies are small text strings (files) that websites visited by the user send to the device (usually to the browser), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites on subsequent visits.
In addition to allowing efficient operation of the site and improving its performance, cookies allow for a better browsing experience for the user, for example, by allowing preferences (language, currency, etc.) to be stored.
The use of cookies is therefore aimed at session monitoring, IT authentication execution, and storing information on specific configurations by users.
Blocking or removing cookies could, therefore, cause incomplete use of the services provided by the site.

Types of cookies

Cookies are mainly distinguished into:

  • Technical cookies: used to allow navigation based on a series of selected criteria to improve the user’s service (language choice, products selected for purchase, or authentication to access restricted areas).
Prior consent from the user is not required for these cookies.
  • Profiling cookies: used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web and are aimed at creating user profiles. Italian and European regulations require that the user be adequately informed about the use of profiling cookies and express their consent.

Further types of cookies concern the different time span over which a cookie operates and are distinguished into:

  • Session (or transient) cookies: necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site. They are limited to the transmission of session identifiers consisting of random numbers generated by the server, are not stored on the user’s computer, and disappear when the web browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: stored by the web browser and remain valid until the scheduled expiration date unless the user removes them before that date.

Cookies can also be First Party, in the case of cookies created and readable by the site that created them, i.e., by the site manager, or Third Party, in the case of cookies derived from a site other than the one you are visiting which installs them on the latter.

Cookies used on this site

  • Navigation cookies: these are technical cookies necessary for the functioning of the site. They allow the user’s access settings to be recognized without having to enter any data entered at each visit to the site.
These cookies can be disabled from the web browser in use. To do this, please refer to the next paragraph “How to disable or remove cookies“.
  • Functional cookies: are not essential for the functioning of the site but improve the experience and quality of navigation. For example, if items have been added to the cart but the session was closed before completing the purchase, the next time you access the site (and in any case within a limited period), the selected products can be found again.
These cookies can be disabled from the web browser in use. To do this, please refer to the next paragraph “How to disable or remove cookies“.
  • Analytical cookies: this site uses the Google Analytics service for web traffic analysis provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). In this case, these are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies). Google Analytics uses “cookies” to collect and anonymously analyze information on the usage behaviors of the pernalife.com site (including the user’s IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it for the purpose of preparing reports regarding activities on the websites themselves. This site does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) the Google analysis tool to monitor or collect personal identification information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google nor does it try to link an IP address with the identity of a user. Google may also communicate this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the aforementioned information on behalf of Google.
For further information, please refer to the link indicated below: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/
The user can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the link indicated below: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Social Network Cookies: these cookies allow the site to interact with Social Networks. They are used to express appreciation or share the site’s pages with your contacts. Social Network cookies are not necessary for browsing the site and are activated only when access to the relevant web page occurs, or by clicking on the respective icons and entering the respective social sites.

We refer to the respective cookie policy pages:

  • Google Map Cookies: These cookies are used by Google to store user preferences and information whenever they visit web pages containing Google Maps geographic maps. These cookies contain sufficient information to allow tracking.

N.B. For all Third Party cookies, we do not control the information provided by the cookies nor do we have access to such data.

  • Real Cookie Banner: to manage cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related consents, we use the “Real Cookie Banner” consent tool. Details on how “Real Cookie Banner” works are available at: https://devowl.io/rcb/data-processing/.
The legal bases for the processing of personal data in this context are Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.
The provision of personal data is not contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide personal data. If you do not provide personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents.
